Aromatics:

This Lagrein expresses fruity aromas of blackberry Kirsch liqueur with hints of leather, brown spice, and smokey undertones.

Palate:

The palate indulges you with the same fruit delight as the nose, offering red and dark plums as well. Rich tannins and bright acidity along with a long smokey finish provide an excellent mouthfeel.

Food Pairing:

Pork Chops, Grilled Flank Steak, Venison Stew with Dumplings, and cheese pairings of Gouda, Majorero, or Goat Cheese.

Wine Details

Winemaking

Delicious aromas of vanilla and brioche mix with notes of candied pear. Golden delicious apples with caramel and coconut also come to greet the nose.

Fermented in 90% stainless steel tank for34 days, with 10% in neutral oak fermenter for 12 days. Blended and then aged in stainless steel tank for a quick 2 months before bottling

Dell Valley Vineyard, Farmhouse Vineyards, Twin T Vineyard, Darst Ranch Vineyard

This wine sources grapes from three corners within the state of Texas, from one of the furthest West, to the East, and from the Texas High Plains. The high elevation out West is prime for coaxing balance out of the majority of white grape varieties of Texas, while Darst Ranch Vineyard in Austin County far East is planted solely to Blanc du Bois, which can withstand the humid and warm conditions there. Together, they all represent all of Texas.
